Rome was once the largest, wealthiest, most powerful city in the Western world. The birthplace of Caesar and home to the Catholic Church, Rome is a city built on history. The Italian capital is packed with countless historical landmarks, museums, and over nine hundred churches. Though crowded and sprawling, it is a city filled with life, beauty, and charm and the highlight moment of a stay in Italy for many. 

Itinerary: 

Early morning departure from Florence to Rome. Introduction to Rome: walking tour of the main sites on Saturday. Transfer to the hotel in the late afternoon, free time and then dinner together. On the second day, visit to Tivoli gardens and Emperor Hadrian’s Villa. Transfer to the train station in the late afternoon and return to Florence.

The activity includes:

  • Round-trip transportation 
  • All transfers by public or private transport 
  • 1 night in hotel (shared rooms) with breakfast

  • Guided visit of selected sites

  • Trace the origins of many aspects of Western European culture and of modern Western society in general 
  • Place artwork and other archaeological evidence in the context that created them 
  • Gain a broader knowledge of the food and products that are unique to the Italian territory, history, and culture 
  • Increase critical thinking, especially in relation to the role tourism plays in marketing the history, food, and culture of Italy 
  • Develop team-building and collaborative skills
